She's Back! ::cue cheesy music::

And there still isn't a whole lot of update.  I think Clint & I have finally decided on a name for our son--Zachary Thomas.  Thomas is my dad and grampa's first name (my dad is a second), so they're happy.  We didn't actually choose Thomas for that reason, though.  We just picked it 'cause it sounded good with Zachary and it was something we could agree on.  lol  We do NOT have the same taste in names at all.  The other option was Zachary Tyler, but Thomas seemed to fit better.

I'm coming close to the end of my term (sort of).  I have a little less than two months to go.  Man am I getting BIG.  lol  And not everywhere.  Like I predicted, I'm still a skinny little thing.  The only places I've grown at all are my stomach (obviously) and my chest (which almost always happens when women get pregnant).  Everywhere I go people want to rub my tummy.  People I've never even met before ask if they can rub my tummy.  lol  It's so strange.  People get all ga-ga over unborn kids.

I have a great picture from one of my ultrasounds, and I'm hoping to convince my mom to scan and send it for me so I can put it up here.  She's also sending me fabric samples so I can choose one for her to start making curtains and bedsheets and all that.  I wanted to theme the room in either cowboys or pirates.  Clint didn't like the cowboy idea ("my son is not going to be a redneck"), so I'm stuck with having to find stuff for pirates.  It sounded like a great idea when I suggested it, and if I could get things for it, it would probably look great.  But finding things for a baby's pirate bedroom is hell.  If/when I get the nursery complete, I'll take pictures.

Also, I have several rolls of film that still need to be developed, and another roll in the camera that I'm working on.  I'll get pictures of myself with my gigantic tummy so all can point and laugh.  :D  I weigh a LOT more than I have ever before in my life.  And it's all in my stomach.  I've gained a total of twenty-six pounds so far, and I still have three weeks to go before I'm considered "full term," more likely seven weeks, which makes a perfect forty.  It'll be nice to be able to bend over andtie my shoes without discomfort again!

Other than that, my shift schedule has changed, and now I'm working what we call four-tens.  Four days per week, ten hours a shift.  It's a LOT different from our continental shift, where we had two night shifts rotating every week on twelve hours per shift.

I have gone AWOL for a few days.  I started blocking all IMs rather than turning on my away message every day while I was online.  I've been here, just in hiding for about a week or maybe a little less than that.  Now I've got it set so only people on my buddy list can IM me, and I've reduced the list (you're still on there, Robert).  I've been absorbed with a game called RuneScape (www.runescape.com for those interested), which is just as great as my vampire game, only there's no limit to how much you can play per day, so I've been playing for hours at a time, on top of playing Burger Time and my vampire game.  This isn't like me, but when the newness of RuneScape wears off, I should be okay again.

Well!  It's about time...

But really, I'm glad your back.  I've been craving some new updates in your journal and missing your sass and witticisms in my comments section.

I like Zachary Thomas :) Excellent name, that! :) And I LOVE the idea of a pirate bedroom! That's so cool! I'll keep my eye out for things that might go with that. Ooohh, I'm watching Hook right now, that gets the ideas brewing...Maybe for curtains, you could try red velvet (or something along those lines) with either black or gold tassels/trim/tie thingies (as you can probably tell, the only thing I know about curtains in colors!;)). Anyway, I'll keep an eye out for anything that might go with your theme :) I Love Ya Girlie!!

I'm trying not to go too mature or too young on the nursery theme.  I want him to have something he can grow into so I don't have to redecorate every couple of years.  The more I think about it, the more I feel like crying over trying to find a pirate theme for a baby's bedroom.  lol

Robert, who would have guessed you'd love that name?  LOL, did I really leave 32 comments in your journal today?  It wouldn't surprise me--you had a LOT of entries I hadn't yet read or at least hadn't yet made comments for.  And then there was the one entry where I left two or three comments.

And then you went and posted another entry right after I got done catching up on your journal.

Punk.

Not all 32 comments were from you.  Some of them were my responses to things you said.

You are SO lucky to only be gaining weight in your stomach & chest!!!
I gained SO much weight when I was pregnant with my son
I was HUGE , i believe i weighed like a whopping 170ish!!
And I wasn't overweight when I got pregnant
Zachery Thomas, thats a very nice name
It is hard to choose on a name both really like
I wanted to name my son Dustin , thinking in terms of the actor D Hoffman
But I was getting so much outside input on what to name him
I ended up naming him the last name of a favorite "scream queen" of mine
And my daughter , she cringes when she hears the names I was getting input on to name her....LOL
Scarlett , Lacey , Rhiannon (LOL)
She's named after an old jitterbug
But I got the idea of it from reading a friends Grateful Dead tour itinerary book
At the time I thought " what a beautiful , not-heard-everday name"

Robert, Thank goodness!  Though it would have served you right to have thirty-two comments to read, since I had about twenty ENTRIES to read.  It's like you realized I was gone, so you had to hurry up and write as much as you could.  I spent almost an hour reading all your entries and replying to them.

All4Eyez, I was kinda hoping to gain some weight when I found out I was pregnant.  I've always been underweight, and have taken a lot of crap for it over the years.  People look at someone who's overweight and politely refrain from saying anything, but they look at someone who's underweight and feel like they have the right to come up with the nastiest comments they can and say them for everyone to hear.  Besides that, I've always wished my calves were a little more shapely and my thighs just a wee bit bigger.  But, it didn't happen, and it's really not that big a deal.  I was expecting it anyway, 'cause my mom and sister wound up the same way through their pregnancies.

Yeah, Bishop is my favorite boy name because it isn't entirely unheard of, but very rare.  I'm always afraid to put up names I really dislike, for fear of insulting someone.  Once I said I hated the name Carnell and wound up seriously insulting someone who said their little brother was named Carnell.  Oops.  :D

awe - I'm sorry to hear that
I know about being thin versus being big
But I think it happens both ways...
Even to the big people
Not all people just look the other way on chubby people
Oh no , they whisper & make uncalled for remarks about them too
Just try to be happy with yourself
Never mind what everyone else says or thinks
especially if they dont know you!
As long as your comfortable
Dont let what they say or how they react to your size
effect your happiness
