Fate III--The Law of Threefold Return

I really wish they'd come up with some better moods, or just leave the space blank.  That list of moods is extremely limited.  I guess they're afraid that people will write "sexy" or "horny" or something like that.  ::shrug::

Sometimes called the Threefold Law, the Law of Three, or the Rule of Three, and even sometimes incorrectly called karma, The Law of Threefold Return states that when you send something out into the universe, it will come back to you.  This is the simplest, most correct way I can state it.  You'll see why in a minute.

The supposedly "scientific" reasoning behind this is that when you send something out to the universe, by the time it has come back to you, it will have tripled in force (how they got that number is beyond me).

Actually, this is a re-packaged version of fate, with a little free will thrown in to make it easier to swallow.  This version of fate is great because even those who don't believe in fate can believe in *this.*

There are so many variations to this law it can make you dizzy to try to remember them all.  I've heard believers of reincarnation say that the good or bad (depending on what you sent out) can come back at any time, in this life, or a future life.  This also seems to offer some insight into why bad things happen to good people and why good things happen to bad people.  Those who don't believe in reincarnation believe it will come back to you in this life.

I've also heard people say that three is a symbolic number, meaning that what you send out will come back to you multiple times, period.  There's no set number, they say, though, as that would be impossible.

Cont'd next entry . . .
